I have a common issue with losing my bookmarks on computers. When I find a great website, I want to make a bookmark. That plan works great until my computer needs to be reimaged, or if I use a different computer than what I normally use. Once one of those situations occurs, I don't have my bookmarks anymore! That problem no longer happens while I'm using a social bookmarking website like Pinterest.
After I create an account, I found the Quality ACT Pinterest page, my wife's Pinterest page, and other ideas for my classroom. I found great anchor charts, classroom management tips, and parent teacher conference ideas. If I'm not careful, I could browse all day and not do anything with the information that I found. I used to think that Pinterest was just for recipes and crafts, but now I see that it is useful for bookmarking and finding information.
I had the same idea about Pinterest. I thought it was mostly for finding crafts to make and decorating ideas, but then another teacher showed me her board and I got hooked. I can also get lost on Pinterest for a while if I'm not careful since there are so many neat ideas on there.
